Mogadishu, 29/04/2024 – We are delighted to announce the official launch of the Better Lives project, led by the esteemed Minister of Health Dr Ali Haji Adan, This groundbreaking initiative, generously funded by UKAID, aims to bring essential healthcare services to mothers and children in Somalia.
Over the next two years, the Better Lives project will make a significant impact in Galmudug, Jubaland, and BRA regions. The mission is to reach approximately 1.5 million mothers and children, including those in areas that have recently been recovered from terrorist groups. These regions are currently lacking basic health services, including vital child vaccinations.
With the support of the UK and other funded partners, we are committed to ensuring that no mother or child is left behind. Through the Better Lives project, we will provide access to quality healthcare, including essential vaccinations, to protect the health and well-being of our most vulnerable populations.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the UK and all our project partners for their unwavering commitment to this cause. Together, we will build a healthier and brighter future for Somalia.
Join us in this transformative journey towards better lives for all.
