Minister of Health and the Chairman of the World Health Organization’s Regional Office (EMRO) met in Cairo, Egypt’s capital.

Dr Ali Haji Adan, Minister of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia, and the Chairman of the World Health Organization’s Regional Office (EMRO) met in Cairo, Egypt’s capital.

Dr Ali Haji Adan, Somalia’s Minister of Health, and Dr Ahmed Al-mandari, Chairman of the EMRO/WHO Regional Office, addressed the strengthening of the Ministry of Health’s connection with the Office, as well as collaboration in the development of health problems in Somalia.

The Minister requested Dr Ahmed Al-Mandari to join the efforts to address Somalia’s health issues, such as doctor and nurse training and increasing the quality of Somalia’s health. Dr Ali Haji Adan, the Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Health and Human Services, remarked on the importance of education grants in the field of health, stating that the Ministry of Health of Somalia must encourage the recruitment of medical specialists, according to Dr Ahmed Al-mandari.

They also said that they would put everything that was discussed into action.
Finally, Dr Ali Haji Adan, Minister of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia, stated that the Somali Ministry of Health would seek to enhance the link between the EMRO Office and collaboration in developing health concerns.
