The Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Health and Human Services and Chairman of the Government’s National Emergency Committee, Dr Ali Haji Aden, received medicine from the World Health Organization as an emergency response to the injuries caused by the explosions on October 29 at the Zoobe intersection in the city of Mogadishu.

The Minister, along with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health, Dr Mohamed Hassan Mohamed, and the Chairman of the Emergency Committee of the Ministry of Health, Dr Guled Abdijaliil Ali, took over 39 tons of medicines for the Zoobe Disaster Emergency, which is still going on. The WHO relief team that went to Somalia was led by Mamunur Rahman Maliki, who is the head of WHO in Somalia. He said that the medicine was meant to help with the injuries caused by the terrorist explosions on October 29 near the Ministry of Education and the Zoobe intersection, which is where most of them are.
