Mr Salah Ahmed Jama, the deputy prime minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, participated in a high-level handover ceremony at the Ministry of Health and Human Services today, August 10, 2022. The guests were welcomed by Dr Abdinasir Mukhtar Ibrahim, Director General of the Ministry of Health. Then, Dr Fawziya Abikar Nur, a former minister of health, gave a brief speech at the event in which she outlined her accomplishments while serving for five and a half years. Dr Ali Haji Adan, the newly appointed minister, also gave a significant statement during the handover ceremony. A brief remark was also made to mark the occasion by Salah Ahmed Jama, the deputy prime minister.
The handover ceremony was attended by officials from government agencies, including the Ministry of Health staff, the Accountant General, the National Auditor, and the Civil Service Commission. The two ministers then signed the handover documents in the presence of Mr Salah Ahmed Jama, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, and the National Audit Office.
