The Ministry of Health And Human Services of the Federal Government of Somalia has successfully completed a two-day national HIS workshop. The workshop was attended by all Federal Member States, the Federal Ministry of Health, health sector partners and the private sector.
The Ministry of Health and Human Services has been working on the development of a comprehensive health information strategy and the objective of the workshop was to discuss the findings of the HIS assessment that was conducted in the field by the Ministry.
Improving the health information system of the country is a priority for the Ministry of health. Building the capacity of the national health information system will allow the use of evidence for policy-making.
