Wasaaradda Caafimaadka iyo Daryeelka Bulshada ee Jamhuuriyadda Federaalka Soomaaliya iyada oo tixraacaysa war saxaafadeedka kasoo baxay Wasaaradda Cafimaadka ee Jamhuuriyadda Uganda markii ay taariikhdu ahayd 20-ka Bishan September 2022, kaas oo ku saabsanaa in dalkaas laga helay kiisas la xiriira Cudurka EBOLA Virus Disease (EVD), waxa ay shaacinaysaa qodobada soo socda si looga taxadaro loona ilaaliyo badqabka muwaadiniinta Soomaaliyeed.
Wasaaradda Caafimaadka JFS oo kaashanaysa Wasaaradda Gaadiidka iyo Duulista Hawadda iyo Hay’adaha Qaranka ee u xil saran ilaalinta xuduudaha iyo marinada isu-gudubka bulshada, waxa ay qaadi doontaa talaabooyin looga hortagayo in uu cudurka soo gaaro dalka, maadaama wadanka Uganda oo hadda laga helay kiisas cusub ay ku nool yihiin Soomaali badan oo u soo socdaala Magaalada Muqdisho iyo qeybaha kale ee dalka.
Wasaaradda oo ka faa’ideysaneysa khubaradeeda dhanka Caafimaadka waxa ay bilaabaysaa baaritaan la xiriira caabuqa EBOLA oo lagu sameynayo dhammaan muwaadiniinta iyo musaafiriinta ka imaneysa wadanka Uganda oo uu caabuqa kasoo cusboonaaday.
Press Statement
The Ministry of Health and Human Services of the Federal Republic of Somalia in reference to the press release issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uganda on 20th September 2022 declared the discovery of EBOLA Virus Disease (EVD) in the country. The information below will highlight the need for new protocols in order to prevent and ensure the safety of the Somali people.
The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, and the national agencies who are responsible for border protection and social interaction will take measures to prevent the disease from spreading to the country due to the new case that has been found in Uganda, where many Somalis live and travel to Mogadishu as well as other parts of the country.
The Ministry of Health will be using health experts within the country in close coordination with the World Health Organization to start all necessary preparedness and response to EBOLA including screening all travellers from Uganda.
