The Minister of Health met with his counterpart, Sudan’s Minister of Health

Dr Ali Haji Adan, the Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Health, met with Sudan’s Minister of Health, Dr Haitham Ewad, in Cairo, Egypt’s capital.

Dr Ali Haji Adan, Somalia’s Minister of Health, and Haitham Ewad, Sudan’s Minister of Health, addressed the improvement of ties between the two Ministries as well as collaboration in the development of health problems in Somalia and Sudan.

The minister discussed with his Sudanese counterpart about participating in efforts to enhance Somalia’s health challenges, such as training for physicians and nurses and anything else that can be improved in the health sector. Dr Ali Haji Adan, Minister of Health and Human Services of the Federal Government of Somalia, emphasized the importance of education grants in the field of health and stated that the Ministry of Health of Somalia supports the acquisition of health professionals. The Minister of Health of Sudan also stated that they would implement everything that was discussed.

Finally, Dr Ali Haji Adan, Minister of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia, stated that the Ministry of Health of Somalia would seek to enhance the relationship between the two Ministries and collaboration in the development of health concerns in both nations.
